Print in the Paddock: Linocut Workshop

Join Hayley for a relaxed afternoon of linocut printing in our canvas tipi, tucked into the Bracken & Bloom paddock amid the rolling North Downs. No experience needed — we'll guide you through every stage, from carving to printing, so you leave with a hand-carved block and prints to call your own.

Al and Hayley, a creative couple behind Jackdaw and Bear—a Kent-based printmaking studio where nature, design, and craftsmanship meet.

From Sketch to Print

  • Sketch to block

    Each design begins with hand-drawn illustrations, inspired by British wildlife, woodlands and seasonal landscapes.

  • Carved by Hand

    Using traditional tools, each designs is carved into lino with care and precision - no machines here!

  • Printed with Purpose

    Each piece is individually hand-printed with sustainable materials- cork, paper or fabric- from our Kent studio.

  • Packaged with Care

    Once dry, each unique print is signed and titled in small batches. We package using plastic-free materials perfect for sending to your home.

Fantastic workshop

The afternoon workshop was fantastic. Hayley explained the lino cut process clearly and made the whole afternoon fun. It was great to learn a new skill, in lovely surroundings with lovely people and to come home with some of my own prints. We were made very welcome and I would recommend this workshop to anyone thinking about it. Just do it - you will not be disappointed.
