Public printing workshops - children and adults
We host a regular programme of public printmaking workshops across East Kent that are open to everyone – no previous experience required!
Our workshops are designed to be welcoming, hands-on, and enjoyable for all ages, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to explore new techniques.
From seasonal lino printing workshops for adults, where you’ll learn how to carve and print your own designs, to nature-inspired printing sessions, each workshop is a chance to slow down, get creative, and make something truly unique.
We also run a fantastic selection of children’s print workshops during school holidays, ideal for keeping curious minds engaged and inspired. These sessions are packed with fun, mess-free (ish!) creativity and are a great way for children to explore art through the natural world.
Workshops are held at friendly local venues, and all tools and materials are provided – just bring your imagination and get ready to make your mark!

Thursday 22nd January, 6.30pm-9pm
Introduction to Linocut
You’ll design, carve, and print your very own one-colour 6x4 inch lino print. Beginners are welcome, with guidance every step of the way and plenty of inspiration to spark your creativity. Take home your carved lino block and all the prints you create. Ages 16+.

Animal LEGO® Printing
Creating quirky animal designs using LEGO® pieces. Explore different lego combinations and apply ink to your creations before pressing them to create one-of-a-kind relief prints. Take home your very own roarsome works of art! What wild and wacky creatures will you transform into print? Let your imagination run wild!

BYO-Tee Block Printing
Give new life to an old favourite – or personalise something fresh – in our Bring Your Own Tee block-printing workshop. A relaxed, hands-on session designing, carving and printing your own unique block design directly onto a t-shirt or shirt.
All tools and materials are provided – simply bring along a light-coloured t-shirt or shirt (dark fabrics don’t print well). Perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a creative, sustainable way to update their wardrobe. Ages 16+.

Natural Printing Mono Types
Explore the beauty of nature through printmaking in this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop. Using leaves, flowers, and other natural textures, you’ll learn how to create expressive relief-style monoprints with ink and rollers.
Expect a fun, hands-on (and delightfully messy) creative session where you’ll experiment, play, and produce a collection of one-of-a-kind prints to take home and treasure. Perfect for all skill levels — no experience needed. Ages 12+
