Public printing workshops - children and adults
We host a regular programme of public printmaking workshops across East Kent that are open to everyone – no previous experience required!
Our workshops are designed to be welcoming, hands-on, and enjoyable for all ages, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to explore new techniques.
From seasonal lino printing workshops for adults, where you’ll learn how to carve and print your own designs, to nature-inspired printing sessions, each workshop is a chance to slow down, get creative, and make something truly unique.
We also run a fantastic selection of children’s print workshops during school holidays, ideal for keeping curious minds engaged and inspired. These sessions are packed with fun, mess-free (ish!) creativity and are a great way for children to explore art through the natural world.
Workshops are held at friendly local venues, and all tools and materials are provided – just bring your imagination and get ready to make your mark!

Mini Monsters Lego Printing
Join printmaker Hayley from Jackdaw and Bear to design quirky mini monsters using LEGO® pieces. Mix and match bricks, add ink, and press your creation to make unique relief prints. Take home your very own monstrous artworks and see what wild and wacky creatures you can bring to life. Let your imagination run wild and have a blast creating!
THE CRAFTSHIP, MADE IN ASHFORD, COACHWORKS
Tuesday 25th August 2026, 2-3 pm
Summer Bugs Collagraph Printing
Ladybirds, butterflies, beetles and bees — join Hayley for a summer session all about the small creatures we spot in the garden and beyond. Children will design and build their very own bug, inspired by real life or straight from the imagination, then bring it to life with ink and rollers to print a one-of-a-kind creation to take home and treasure.
Expect a fun, hands-on (and happily messy!) introduction to printmaking — no sharp tools involved, just texture, colour and imagination. Perfect for all ages from 3 years up: little fingers are welcome with a bit of adult help, while older children can push their designs further.
Saturday 19th September 2026, 1.30 - 4.30pm
