Inky the Squid Limited Edition Linocut Print

Inky is a hand-carved, hand-printed linocut of a squid mid-surge — tentacles coiling, in fine detail, with three small orange fish scattering in its wake. Drawn from memories of scuba diving, it captures that particular underwater feeling of something large emerging from the dark below you.

Printed in a deep blue block-printing ink on quality printmaking paper, the design lets those tiny orange fish glow warmly against the dark world around them.

Edition & Presentation:
Limited edition of 50 linocut print.
Signed and edition in pencil. 

Print size: A3, mounted in a white acid-free 16 x 20" cm mount.
This print is backed with 100% recycled/reused backing board and arrives packaged in a protective cello sleeve.

How it's made:
Every Jackdaw And Bear print begins as an initial sketch, our hand-drawn designs are transferred on to lino, hand-carved, hand-inked and pressed with a baren or one of our lovely presses. Each print is inked and pulled individually, so there may be small variations in ink density and colour. That's not a flaw, it's the natural charm of hand printing.
